After the completion of the first two quarters, it is already possible to evaluate the performance of vehicle imports in Georgia during the first half of the year. We present the key statistics and main trends.
From January to June of this year, the total value of imported passenger cars in Georgia reached $1.61 billion, with the total number of vehicles amounting to 100,616 units. The highest monthly record in both value and volume was registered in March, when 20,016 vehicles worth $311 million entered the country.
According to the data for the first two quarters of 2026, the United States remains the leading country for passenger car imports to Georgia. During this period, vehicles worth approximately $917 million were imported from the U.S. The import statistics by country are as follows:
United States - 76,936 vehicles worth $917 million;
Japan - 10,006 vehicles worth $217 million;
Germany - 2,457 vehicles worth $207 million;
United Kingdom - 433 vehicles worth $49 million;
China - 4,185 vehicles worth $38 million.
The most expensive vehicles were imported from Italy and the United Kingdom. For example, the average value of one vehicle imported from Italy was around $161,000, while vehicles imported from the UK averaged around $113,000 per unit.
