Jeep Recon EV: Electric Power Meets Off-Road Capability
The 2026 Jeep Recon EV, designed in the style of the Wrangler for challenging terrain and rocky roads, is a midsize electric SUV that combines off-road capability with modern electric technology.

Electric vehicles have established themselves across almost every segment, making their way into categories such as full-size pickups, station wagons, and luxury crossovers/SUVs.
The 2026 Jeep Recon EV enters the market ready to conquer challenging terrain and rocky trails. Designed in the style of the Wrangler, this midsize electric SUV stands out with features such as a power-operated panoramic roof that opens at the push of a button and easily removable doors that can be taken off without tools.

Like Jeep’s other midsize electric model, the Wagoneer S, the Recon is equipped with two electric motors, four-wheel drive, and 650 horsepower. According to preliminary figures, the entry-level Moab version will travel approximately 370 km on a single charge, while future versions are expected to increase that range to around 400 km.
While these figures may seem modest for long-distance travel compared with some competitors, they are more than sufficient for tackling off-road challenges.
The Recon fully retains Jeep’s signature rugged, angular, and aggressive design. The electronic Sky One-Touch roof allows passengers to enjoy a more direct connection with the outdoors.
Built with a robust body designed for demanding terrain and equipped with the latest technology, the model has officially earned the Trail Rated certification. This demonstrates that even in the age of electric vehicles, Jeep has retained its legendary ability to conquer challenging trails and take on the great outdoors.
